how does fop handle high extension count?

  1. 14 years ago

    Hi Nicholas,

I have bought FOP2 before, this question is more on functional usage limit. I have a site with 70+ buttons by the time you count the extensions, queues, and conferences -

    1. How is this going to "look"
    2. How might the load be - on the PC and the PBX?

Obviously I can minimize my conferences, but the receptionist would like to see the 60 extensions on the system, will fop scroll in this case or what?

Are there any use cases that anyone can give?

    thanks, love the new features!!

    Hello,

The presentation layer in FOP2 is a regular web page. You can scroll down as you do on any other web page. It is fast and usable. When extension buttons are out of view because of the scroll, you can use the Filter box to do a realtime quick search/filter by name/extension. It works quite well on large installs.

The max number of extensions per screen I have seen was around 450 extensions. It works fine.
