If you use the same window, completely new window, then fop2 will be unloaded and you will not get new popups. You can do some things:

1. configure firefox to open popups on new background tabs
2. create a new container div into fop2 main page and popup information inside that div

The first requires some configurations in Firefox, the 2nd requires programming.
