First of all, monitoring remote servers can be troublesome if the asterisk manager connection is interrupted or breaks (and that usually happens when connecting to asterisk ami over the internet, slow or unreliable link). IF your remote server connection manager breaks, then the fop2 display will not be reliable. If you want to see if that is what is happen, you have to start fop2_server in debug mode (add -X 15 -l /var/log) in the OPTIONS line in /etc/sysconfig/fop2 or whatever way you use to launch fop2_server, so you can inspect the /var/log/fop2_debug.log.

Regarding the DND problems, are those on a local server? Is it reproducible? I mean, *every* time you change status? How are you setting DND, dialing a feature code? from fop2? How are buttons configured, by hand? What is your button configuration? There are lots of things you do not say so I cannot ask you more direct questions to know about your environment. Are you using FreePBX?

The default port is tcp/4445.

If you ever see any kind of status change, either an extension becoming busy, or anything else, then it is not a firewall issue.
