Try using phonebook and I found out that when I try to put in name instead of numbers, once click on the phone number to dial, it only send digit but the name strips off.

For example .

At the "PHONE 1" fields, I put in *123abc. When I click on this field, my freepbx will only capture 123 instead of the whole strings. Did you strips everything off?
