Part of the issue is that the active call won't transfer, either, as long as there's a held call for that exten.
Supervised and blind transfers normally work, just not when there's a call on hold.
OK, I guess I can't set a context for these numbers?
I removed the context, but dialing doesn't work, because the numbers need a 9+1 before them in order to dial. Is there some way that I can add that without it showing up in the phonebook?
This morning I purged the visual phonebook data in order to import a new, current phonebook list. There are a few problems now:
1) I can't import a csv file from the fop2 website, I get a "connection was reset" error and can no longer see the buttons for import, export, add, etc.
2) I worked around the import issue by doing an inline import in MySQL from the terminal. Now all my data's in the database, but none of it shows in the phonebook in FOP2.
After the successful back-end import, I can add users and they show up, but not the data that was imported into the MySQL database. When I look in the MySQL database, I can see the latest row I've inserted from the web front-end, and I don't see any differences in data formatting, etc. It inserts the new name at the next available ID# and everything.
I even tried truncating the table again, adding a new record from the web front-end and then importing the data from terminal, the imported data still doesn't show up.
Any ideas?
edit: private is set to "no" for all records.
I've noticed that when I receive an in-browser notification (of an incoming call, etc) in Chrome that, until it's gone, I can no longer interact with chat or the top right buttons (prefs, phone book, logout)
Is this issue known?
I have a few questions about transferring calls:
(We have drag-transfer enabled, in case it's relevant.)
Can transfer to queue be enabled somehow?
When I'm on a call and I click a queue, then click either transfer button, I hear a few button press tones, but the call stays on my end. It does not attempt to transfer.
When I attempt to drag-transfer, nothing happens.
Can transfer of a held or unanswered call somehow be enabled?
Our operator will sometimes field several calls at one time. While she's on, she will often times see a caller who she knows needs to go to a certain phone or queue, but she has to answer the call in order to transfer. This causes the wait and hold times to go up.
I'm unsure if it's possible, as attempting to do so either via the transfer buttons or drag-transfer does nothing.
I know it won't be super easy, but I'm willing to work on it quite a bit.
Last week I tweaked a copy of index.html and chat.css and was able to get something somewhat usable. My only issue now is that once you're on the page, you still have to click the user's top-left button and then click chat.
I'm sure if I can find some way to get a "direct link" to chat with someone, I'd have at least a workable demonstration.
Then I guess the question is, is there a better way? Is there some other way to wrap-up or intercept the chat into its own window? If we can do that, we might even be able to do pop-up chats (another feature my users have asked about)
Any input?
I've got a project I'm working on, and I'm wondering if there's a way to bring up nothing but a chat to a specific extension/user. (something like the support chat you guys have on your main site, but it would go to a user or users on FOP2.)
I might just have to create a separate HTML page and whittle away everything but the chat, if that's even possible, then have the box auto-login to the site... (just thinking aloud here)
That quote request I emailed you guys a few weeks ago would go hand-in-hand with this, as well.
Any ideas?
You guys are awesome!
Is there some way to get rid of the right-side white space for users with no visible queues?
